| Let our Powers Combine! | If any gets that obscure reference, awesome.
Well, as many may or may not know, Playerworlds has seen some heavy inactivity as of late, but so have other communities. In a plan in the works since long ago, Playerworlds will be merging with Elysium Source under a new banner: Online Game Core (OGCore).
Now now, this does not mean either is dying! No, quite the opposite, We hope that this can stimulate new usage of both pieces of software. We are currently working to transfer usernames, so your account will NOT be lost! Posts may be, however we are working to transfer over important files, such as tutorials, bug fixes and errors, and other such important posts.
The website will be better, the community will be revitalized, and able to intermingle. There will be a choice. For those who find Elysium too difficult, Playerworlds will be waiting, and for those of you ready to move on, Eyns will be there (the new Elysium replacement).
I hope you will all find this a good step, and eventually be able to see our reason for doing so. Playerworlds will not loose itself to conformity, but join into the formation of a larger grander more active community.
In closing, I'd also like to take a moment to annoucne that Playerworlds will be switching to Visual Basic.NET 2008, allowing us to use DirectX 9 capabilities, and do much more! With the .NET framework being installed on most computers through Windows-Update, the number of errors should also decrease drastically! More information to come! Thank you all!

| | | Playerworlds Lite Version 1 | Rejoice?
Maggy fixed up some bugs, or so he says, and has decided to release the first version of PW Lite. Look around in the downloads for it! Try to find bugs, because we all know Magnus will appreciate it.
There's also some great stuff planned for version 2, but that's a ways off, in the meantime, check out Fabulatra. There'll be more updates there soon.

| | | RC3 Update? | Well, it seems there are some crazy unforeseen errors with RC3 which I hadn't experienced yet. Sadly, my PC is in the shop, and won't be back until the 17th. When I get it back I will do some extensive testing to fix any and all errors, hopefully, and release the update as Playerworlds Lite 1.0, with any subsequent updates being a slight subversion in version titling. So, if an update is needed, it will be released as update 1.0.0.x, where x will be the number of the update. The client will still be called 1.0 however, but this is simply to avoid further "RC" usages when what is available is capable to make a game with, albeit it along I suppose. So, fixes coming as soon as I get my computer back.
On a side note, some things to look forward to in 2.0 include a full working guild system, a client-option for quests, simple NPC chat, perhaps a graphical targeting system, possibly some ranged weapons, and most noticeably, a change to DirectX 8 which will allow for translucency options and amazing particle effects.
